Privacy policy

Plain-language summary of how your information moves through MoveBird.

Template notice: this policy is a working draft for an MVP and should be reviewed by counsel before launch.

Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email, phone.
  • Move request details: origin and destination, dates, home size, inventory, requested services and any notes you add.
  • Company information submitted by moving businesses.
  • Usage data needed to operate and secure the platform.

How we share it

Moving businesses first see a masked preview of your request without your name, phone, email or street address. When a business unlocks your request, that business receives your contact details and full move information so it can contact you. We do not sell your information to unrelated third parties.

Your consent

You accept a disclosure before your request is published. That disclosure explains that companies may contact you by phone, text or email. Consent is recorded with a timestamp.

Your choices

  • Edit your request details from your dashboard.
  • Deactivate your request at any time to stop new unlocks.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.

Security

Access rules are enforced on the server. A moving company cannot read your private details unless it has legitimately unlocked your specific request, and each company can only see its own pipeline data.
